Smarter AI, Better Decisions

Causally aware AI for making preferred outcomes more likely in a changing and uncertain world

Risk-Analytic Artificial General Intelligence (RAAGI): We are on a mission to build an AI that can recommend causally effective, safe (or risk-sensitive) decisions under time pressure in uncertain, novel, and changing environments – and provide clear causal explanations for their rationales.

We believe that RAAGI with LLM conversational interfaces is within reach now...

WHO WE ARE

Introducing the world’s first
AI-powered advisory system to your organizations

MoirAI is an Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), data analytics, and decision and risk optimization company with a huge difference: Causally aware AI for making preferred outcomes more likely in a changing and uncertain world.

Our AI system has been developed and improved continuously since 2015 and is built on several decades of world-class academic research and industry consulting experience.

Our technology has been well tested and successfully used by the scientific community. Now, it is the right time to bring our innovation to the business world.

WHAT WE DO

We provide a comprehensive AI-powered advisory system

How we build our AI-powered advisory system is based on the following four pillars:

World-class expertise and experience

By background, we are researchers. We are therefore advocates of the belief that any prize-winning AI technology must be built on decades of rigorous research activities.

That way, we could bring a sustainable, true value to our clients and partnerships.

Our team features people with graduate and undergraduate degrees from Harvard, MIT, UC Berkeley, Cornell, UC Boulder, London, and Warwick (UK).

Customer-centricity

As a deep tech company, we are proud of our unique customer-centric approach. Be it offering our proprietary AI system or our services and advices, we do our best to place our users and partners right at the center of our business processes. Our resource orientation and prioritization is derived from what is better and effective for our customers.

We are always obsessed with this question, “What could be the technical solution that creates 10x value for this client?”.

That way of thinking is part of our DNA.

Design thinking

Our technology design is based on user-driven criteria, meaning that we strive to take into account and measure every single aspect of customers’ usage for development and continuous improvement.

Very often, designers may not be able to recognize the hidden needs that users have not expressed. For that, we live the users’ experience.

We favor ‘breakthrough innovation’ over ‘marginal innovation’ as we aim for an evolutionary development.

An international, interdisciplinary approach

We do not just analyze your business problems from one single analytic or technical perspective. For us, the best approach to solving a problem should integrate various perspectives from the organizational structure, people, culture, and leadership to strategies and international business contexts. We lived in Asia and Western Europe, and so we understand your culture.

What’s more, a deep understanding of how an organization (in different industries) and its business processes operate, whether it is the finance, sales or manufacturing departments, is critical to unlock the true value of data.

Our story

It was a beautiful Friday’s morning in the fall of 2019. An energetic, tech-passionate business faculty member went to attend a seminar on advanced analytics given by a renowned A.I. scientist at the Business School, University of Colorado, Denver. When the seminar had ended, he approached and asked whether this scientist would be interested in joining him to found a AI company which could be unique or provide exceptional values. “It’s now or never”. After pausing for a while, the scientist quickly shifted his attention to something seemingly ‘very cool’, “I believe we have a strong story about this [AI] technology. I will email you the idea tonight!’”. Little did they know that that moment would mark the beginning phase of a newly-founded A.I. company in downtown Denver.

And the venture officially embarked in March, 2020.

Our Brandname

What’s in a name?
The MoirAI were the three Fates in Greek mythology: The three sisters who assigned each person a destiny at birth by spinning, measuring, and ending the threads of their lives. MoirAI technology is all about using Causal Analytics to understand and reshape the future by taking causally effective actions – rewriting destiny, if needed, to achieve better outcomes.

MoirAI is also selected because it ends with two letters: A & I = Artificial Intelligence.

Finally, we chose MoirAI because its pronunciation sounds like ‘More AI’.
